Review

The first album from newcomers Fahr represents an interesting attempt to marry Berlin School with protest music that makes up in novelty what it sometimes lacks in effectiveness. Little here will astound longtime fans of either genre, though it expertly steers around the tropes without ever veering too far into cliche. The standout track is Occupied Territory which, while also the longest at nearly 18 minutes, nonetheless rewards repeated spins. ★★★☆☆
